Spice Up Your Prom With Sexy Prom Dresses

Friday, February 19th, 2010

Over the years, the young ladies seem to become more aware and open-minded. As their point of view changes, so does the way they physically present themselves. It is true, while some of you women remains modest, there are also some who tends to be more liberated, of course, in a good way. The term sexy is often, if not always, taken greatly as a compliment. You could put the term this way, it’s both feeling and looking glamorously confident about yourself, if you believe you are attractive then it’s safe to say you’re sexy. Being attractive, yes it’s a big goal during Prom.
Prom is just one of the opportunities you may be able to capture the attention of your long time crush, or prove your loyal admirers they’ve chosen to like the right girl. That’s why it’s rather important to look your best and looking sexy is most likely one of the better choices for most modern young ladies. Being and looking sexy doesn’t necessarily require too much flesh to be displayed. It’s just a matter of showing off one’s best asset. The area lot of
sexy Blue Prom Dresses to choose from that doesn’t make you look “easy to get” unlike other Brown Prom Dresses out there that makes you look just that. Skimpy is definetely different from sexy. You know Black Prom Dresses if it accentuates your best asset making you even more attractive, more beautiful for that big event.
Not all sexy or simply ideal Champagne Prom Dresses cost much. There are a lot of cheap prom dresses that actually look more than what you’d pay for them. You’d be surprised at how much choices there are and even more surprised how friendly the prices are for your wallet.
Speaking of wallets you might even have enough extra budget for some prom shoes
match your green Prom Dresses or some high heeled prom shoes that’ll even make you feel and look sexier. Although, again it’s not just how you look but how you see yourself that makes you truly sexy. Wearing a sexy prom dress but feeling uncomfortable wearing it will definitely ruin your prom so don’t just choose a dress because it’s sexy but also make sure you’ll be comfortable and most specially confident wearing it, now that’s being sexy!

Senior Prom Memories

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

Yes, my senior prom theme was the title of a Richard Marx song. How proud I am, let me tell ya. Please keep in mind, it is the junior class that does all that crap every year. They pick the theme, decorate and order all the souvenirs. When I was a junior, our theme was waaaayyy better, by the way. The color scheme was black and silver and I still have the tickets, and all the little souvenirs you can purchase. I wore a floor length powder blue sleveless gown and wore my hair up. Even had fake fingernails to boot.
My prom was held on May 6th. A Saturday evening. In a civic center in a neighboring town just slightly larger than our own. My entire class of 42 (yes I only had 42 people in my graduating class–small town life.) and our dates, and the junior class and their dates, and the chaperones, and all the parents who think they have to take pictures when their kids walk in Black Prom Dresses in prom attire, all crammed into this building for the dance. And before you ask, no, my mother did not show up to take pictures. She’d shown up the year before and I begged her to stay away this time.
As I said before, I took a date. Or he took me…whichever. We were not dating, however. We were just friends. the guy I had been seeing at the time hadn’t wanted to go (should have seen that as a sign…) so I went with a guy friend who had recently broken up with his girlfriend. We went in a big group. We went to dinner first. Ruby Tuesday’s.
Dinner was fun, the group was mostly fun…except the part where one of the couples in the group included the date I had gone to the junior prom with and his new girlfriend and I had to watch them be all lovey dovey all evening and…But, I digress.
The point is, it was a pretty fun time getting to the prom itself. Once we arrived at the venue, things continued to be pretty fun for a while. I took a lot of pictures with all my good friends (and yes, I still have most of them. The pictures, I mean) and laughed and chatted for a good portion of the night.
My best friend, we’ll call him Walter, had been in the group as well. He’d already asked another girl to be his date long before my personal debacle came an=bout, so we weren’t able to go together. Probably should have, considering both of our dates disappeared almost immediately upon our arrival and were not seen again until we left the place.
At one point, Walter and I were joking around with a couple of other friends, laughing it up and having a good time. We were standing near the table our group had been occupying. When the couple we were conversing with left, Walter and I both looked around the room, looked back at each other and said at the same time, “Where are our dates?”
Yes, where are our dates, indeed. I have a prom video. Yes, I still have it. It is on VHS if that tells you anything. I have watched it once or maybe twice. You do see me. In a class of forty-two, it’s not hard to get some air time. You do not however see me with my date. Nor do you see Walter with his. In fact you rarely see our dates at all. Perhaps they were having their own fun somewhere else??
I did dance. I danced with friends, male and female and had fun. We danced the Electric Slide, the Macarena, YMCA, Shout and various other group dances.  But, eventually it was time to leave and we all headed out. Then it was on to the party.
I will spare you the details of the raucous teenage party we went to. Mostly because I do not remember them. I know I had a good time, until we got home. Then it was not so fun.  Hangover city.
The dress, always make your attention turn to the dresses, the Brown Prom Dresses, the Champagne Prom Dresses, Green Prom Dresses, Silver Prom Dresses.
Different colors reflects typical moods, Champagne Prom Dresses resemble low, Green Prom Dresses resemble young, Silver Prom Dresses resemble calm…
All in all, prom was ok. I had a good time with friends. Not such a good time with vodka and beer, and learned a life lesson or two along the way.
I still laugh about the events of that night with Walter. Prom was, and always will be, an event that I will never forget. A small blip on the radar of my life, but memorable nonetheless. Whether it was good or bad, most of us remember our prom for some reason. There is something about it that will stick out in our minds long into our years. We may even tell our kids and grandkids about it. Well, maybe not all of it

Prom Dresses

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

You can design your own prom dress, which could be an exciting experience. In fact, there is not greater joy then wearing your own creation and that too getting a number of glances filled with admiration. No, you do not need a diploma or degree in fashion designing to be able to design your own dress.
What you do need is the courage to be creative and innovative and believing that you can create the best for yourself. And to see that you are on the right track you could take advise from experts. It could be your elder siblings, parents or a local designer who is fluent with fabrics and materials.
You could follow the guidelines given below to design your own prom dresses:
Sketch the designs you have in mind. Remember to add every detail that comes across in the mental picture you have of the dress you wish to wear on prom night.
Along with each sketch you should make a list of accessories required. This would include the kind of footwear, purse, jewelry, etc.
Color is a good starting point, considering your own skin tone, nobody recognize your favorite colors more than yourself, you know exactly Blue Prom Dresses aren’t choices for your skin, and you believe that, the Champagne Prom Dresses, Green Prom Dresses will give you the most fresh looking from now and again.
Try getting help from your friends, adopting their opinions, the Black Prom Dresses are cool, yes, definitely, but not suitable for you. And the Brown Prom Dresses are popular these days, but, don’t pick these for your shadowed skins.
If you have exhausted all resources for creating your own imagined designs then you could browse through catalogs or visit various stores to create more sketches.
Once you have created enough sketches and you know that there is no more coming from you then you should keep them aside for a few days.
After a few days pick up the sketches and keep aside those you liked most and you would definitely want to wear.
Before you select the final one it is advised to take an opinion of others. In fact place three to four of your favorite designs and ask them to rank them from top to bottom. The one voted as the best could be your pick.
Visit a tailor and show him or her the sketch and find out what kind of fabric and how much would be required according to your measurements. Also take further suggestions to improvise on your pattern.
Purchase all that is required to bring the dress into being and hand it over to the tailor.
Ask for a trail before the dress is put through the finishing process.
Once the dress is ready you could go out and purchase the footwear, purse, matching cosmetics, jewelry, etc. There is one important thing to remember when you design your own prom dress - it should be something that lets you be yourself. It should make you feel confident and vibrant!

Pink Prom Dresses – What’s hot, What’s not?

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

As you go about trying to decide what to wear to the prom, you will want to take a look at pink prom dresses. This season – as is always the case – pink is hot, hot, hot. There are a number of reasons why pink prom dresses need to be on your list when it comes to the perfect choice for the big night.
One of the reasons that pink prom dresses are so popular is that the color itself is easy to wear. By this it is meant that pink harmonizes nicely with most hair colors and skin tones. Not every color works well with as many skin and hair tones as is the case with simple pink. The brown prom dresses can’t go with black skin just like the green prom dresses look ugly on yellow skin.
As alluded to a moment ago, pink is one of the few colors that truly never goes out of style. If you want to make sure that you are on top of the current trends, you never can go wrong with pink. Pink prom dresses are always perfect when you want to make a perfect style statement. Just as pink, the ivory prom dresses are the second best choice.
You also need to keep in mind that pink is … more than pink. There are many different variations on the theme when it comes to pink prom dresses. For example, when it comes to pink prom dresses you can chose from such vibrant shades as baby pink, hot pink, lipstick pink, light pink, rosewater, antique rose and fuchsia. You can send a different message depending on what shade of pink you select for your dress or gown. Some women like the Silver Prom Dresses which are shiny but not that tender, Some women like the Champagne Prom Dresses which are dizzy but not suitable for yellow skin.
If you really want to add a touch of class to your prom, you will want to consider vintage shades of pink that include rosewater and antique rose. Indeed, these shades of pink are ideally suited to classically designed gowns and dresses. The overall vintage look has been hot on the red carpets this season and it is perfect for the prom as well. You can buy vintage dresses at a number of locations, including dress boutiques that specialize in such clothing items as well as internet stores and shops.
At the other end of the spectrum, spicy hot pinks are perfect for prom. Hot pinks send the message that you have both style and spice. When it comes to hot pink prom dresses, you really will be making an eye catching statement the moment you walk through the door at the prom. Indeed, hot pinks work for people of all ages. And, you are seeing more and more hot pinks this season on red carpets and other celebrity events the world over.
As you look for pink prom dresses you will find that they are widely available both in the brick and mortar world and on the Internet, you will have a stylish prom dress, a delightful pink gown, that will be a bright light on the prom dance floor. Truly, you will end up being the bright belle of the ball.
